Privacy Policy
Scope and Application
This Privacy Policy explains how F A M M DISTRICT GENERAL TRADING L.L.C S.O.C collects, uses, stores and protects personal data in connection with the Website, and applies equally to Customers of FAMM Tableware and FAMM Café. This Privacy Policy should be read together with Payment Policy and Payment Gateway Compliance, which govern the processing of payment data specifically.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an Account, place an Order, subscribe to marketing communications or otherwise interact with the Website, the Company may collect your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address, billing address, and, where relevant to a FAMM Café order, dietary or allergy preferences that you voluntarily provide.
Order Information
The Company collects information relating to the Products purchased, Order value, Order date, delivery instructions, delivery date and time preferences, and any correspondence relating to the Order, including requests for exchange, return, refund or cancellation.
Website Usage Information
The Company automatically collects certain technical information when you use the Website, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of access.
Cookies
The Website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate core functionality (such as maintaining items in a shopping basket and keeping a Customer signed in), to remember preferences, and to understand how the Website is used. Cookies may be session-based or persistent. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being set; however, disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Website, including the ability to complete an Order.
Marketing
With your consent, the Company may use your contact details to send marketing communications relating to FAMM Tableware and FAMM Café Products, promotions, new collections, seasonal offers and events. You may withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link contained in each communication or by contacting customerservice@famm.ae. Withdrawal of marketing consent does not affect the Company's ability to send transactional communications relating to an Order.
Analytics
The Company uses analytics services to understand aggregate Website usage patterns, measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and improve the Website. Analytics data is generally processed in an aggregated or pseudonymised form and is used for internal business purposes only.
Use of Personal Data
The Company uses personal data to: process and fulfil Orders, including arranging delivery in accordance with Shipping Policy — FAMM Tableware, FAMM Café Delivery Policy and White Glove Delivery Policy; verify payment and prevent fraud, in accordance with Payment Policy; communicate with the Customer regarding an Order, including confirmations, dispatch notifications and delivery updates; respond to enquiries and provide customer support; comply with applicable legal, tax and regulatory obligations; and, where consented to, deliver marketing communications in accordance with Privacy Policy.
Storage and Retention
Personal data is stored on secure servers, which may include servers operated by reputable cloud infrastructure providers located inside or outside the United Arab Emirates, subject in each case to contractual and technical safeguards. The Company retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including any period required to satisfy legal, accounting, tax or reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce this Manual. Order records are ordinarily retained for the statutory limitation period applicable under UAE law.
Third-Party Processors
The Company engages selected third-party service providers to support its operations, including payment gateway providers (such as Network International, Magnati, PayTabs, Telr, Checkout.com and Amazon Payment Services, as applicable), logistics and courier providers, information technology hosting providers, and marketing platform providers. Such third parties process personal data solely on the Company's behalf, to the extent necessary to perform their function, and are bound by contractual obligations of confidentiality and data protection. Full detail regarding payment data specifically is set out in Privacy Policy below and in Payment Gateway Compliance.
Customer Rights
Subject to applicable law, Customers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, may object to or restrict certain processing, and may request a copy of their personal data in a portable format. Requests may be submitted to customerservice@famm.ae and will be addressed within a reasonable period. The Company may require proof of identity before actioning a request, and certain data may be retained notwithstanding a deletion request where retention is required by law.
Children
The Website is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of eighteen (18), consistent with the age restriction set out in Terms and Conditions. The Company does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where the Company becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected personal data from a person under eighteen (18), it will take reasonable steps to delete such data promptly.
Third-Party Websites
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. https://famm.ae is not responsible for the privacy policies, content or practices of any third-party website, and the Customer is encouraged to review the privacy policy of any third-party website before providing personal data to it.
Security
The Company maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and the use of PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway providers for the processing of card transactions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and while the Company takes reasonable and industry-appropriate measures to protect personal data, it cannot guarantee absolute security.
Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy, and this Manual generally, may change periodically to reflect changes in the Company's practices, technology, legal requirements or the operation of the Website. Any such change becomes effective immediately upon publication on the Website. The Customer is encouraged to review this Manual periodically. Continued use of the Website following publication of an amendment constitutes acceptance of that amendment.

Mandatory Data Protection Statements
The Company confirms the following, without qualification:
• All credit and debit card details and personally identifiable information collected through the Website will not be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third party, save as strictly necessary to process a transaction through a licensed payment gateway provider or to fulfil an Order through a licensed logistics provider, each acting under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• https://famm.ae will not pass any debit or credit card details to third parties, other than the licensed payment gateway providers engaged to process the relevant transaction.
• https://famm.ae is not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party websites.
• Website policies, including this Privacy Policy, may change periodically and become effective immediately upon publication.
Payment Gateway Compliance
The following statements are made for the purposes of payment gateway and acquiring bank compliance, and apply to all transactions processed through the Website:

• Any purchase, dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed by the laws of the UAE.
• Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards in AED will be accepted.
• The displayed price and currency at checkout will be identical to the transaction receipt.
• We will not trade with or provide services to OFAC sanctioned countries.
• Users under 18 years may not register or transact.
• Cardholders must retain copies of transaction records.
• Users are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality.
